Srishti Kumar
As a researcher in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine, I delve into how small molecules influence Ataxin-2-driven stress granule dynamics. Unraveling their role is key to understanding neurodegeneration.

In the lab, I use molecular biology techniques and cell culture tools to push the edges of discovery. Outside the lab, you’ll find me chasing music, exploring cafés, and soaking in the rhythm of Bengaluru. I am currently pursuing my PhD at MAHE-Manipal, working in the lab of Dr. Pawan Agarwal.

Think of me as a cellular detective, uncovering how molecular chaperones like TRiCs/CCTs throw stress granule parties inside cells, and why those parties sometimes lead to neurodegeneration. Armed with cell culture, Western blots, and microscopes, I dive deep into protein homeostasis and cellular stress mysteries. When not in the lab, I’m exploring city streets, lost in a good book, or cooking up experiments that (mostly) taste better than they look. Science is always more exciting when shared. I also helped in designing the web page for PQC Lab.
